The Port of Seattle has named Arif Ghouse as the new chief operating officer for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
Ghouse is joining SEA after eight years as the airport director of Paine Field/Snohomish County Airport (PAE), where in 2019 he spearheaded the launch of commercial passenger service.
His new position marks a return to SEA for Ghouse, where he spent 2000-2014 in roles that included leading airport security, serving as director of seaport security/emergency and for a short period as an airport duty manager.
He is joining SEA as the airport is underway with a five-year, $4.3 billion capital project program called Upgrade SEA. In his new role, Ghouse will lead projects and initiatives, including operational readiness activation and transition, and art and innovation functions, and will work closely with all aviation departments, providing guidance and support.
“We are excited to welcome Ghouse back to SEA after continuing to demonstrate his team-oriented leadership and gaining valuable experience in multiple aspects of directing PAE,” said Lance Lyttle, SEA managing director. “Ghouse has stepped into leadership roles in the regional aviation industry that will provide key perspective and aptitude for this new role at SEA.”
