Travelers passing through Denver International Airport (DEN) can now swing a few clubs between flights at the airport’s new golf simulator. Golf DEN, now open at the western end of the Concourse A mezzanine, features pay-as-you-go playing packages, seating and beverages for purchase. The simulator is operated by ACDBE operator Jawara Partee of 13 Irons LLC, as part of the airport’s Specialty Retail Program in partnership with Provenzano Resources, Inc. (PRI), which awards small businesses six-to-twelve-month trial lease terms and logistics support without requiring operators to go through the RFP process.
PRI CEO Ross V. Provenzano noted that the team was excited to welcome Golf DEN to the program. “It’s a fantastic way to pass the time while waiting for your flight—especially if it’s delayed,” he said. “Plus, who hasn’t dreamed of playing Augusta? Now travelers can experience a bit of that right here at DEN.”
“In a city where sports and outdoor activities are ingrained into the culture of our community, Provenzano Resources is thrilled to ‘bring the outdoors in’ for all the golf enthusiasts traveling through DEN,” added Cord Rauba, PRI director of airport operations. “By matching local business owner Jawara Partee’s passion for golf and the travel industry with available space, our small business launch pad was able to offer the traveling public at DEN a quiet getaway or the chance to take a couple of swings at some of the world’s best courses without ever leaving the airport. It just doesn’t get any better than this.”
