Grab Partners With American Airlines, Expands Platform

Mobile airport app Grab has teamed up with American Airlines to integrate its platform into the airline’s app.

Grab’s standalone app can be embedded into apps by airlines, airports and other travel organizers. American is the company’s first airline partner.

“Partnering with American Airlines is a huge opportunity for Grab,” says Mark Bergsrud, CEO of Grab. “As we expand our service area and offering, American’s passengers will come to know us for our mobile ordering capabilities whenever and wherever they travel.”

Grab currently has mobile ordering available for 29 restaurants in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) and Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS). Plus, it has more than 200 restaurant partners from 17 airports scheduled to launch in the coming months.

Grab is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
