The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has a new board member.
Anthony H. Griffin, a faculty member at George Mason University’s Department of Public and International Affairs and an at-large board member of the Fairfax County Water Authority, is an appointee of the governor of Virginia.
He has worked for the Fairfax County government for 23 years, is a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and was a board member of the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority.
Griffin graduated from Hobart College and earned two master’s degrees in urban and regional planning and urban affairs from Virginia Tech. He also served as an officer in the Marine Corps.
