GSP Opens Soccer-Themed Pub

Greenville Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) has rebranded its Thomas Creek Grille to reflect the popularity of its local professional soccer team, the Greenville Triumph. The Triumph Taproom, operated by Metz Culinary Management, features an updated menu of pub favorites like Bavarian soft pretzels, fish and chips and Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches as well as soccer-themed cocktails like the “Yellow Card” and “Goalkeeper,” all served in a space adorned with Triumph team memorabilia and TVs tuned to soccer and rugby matches. The Triumph Taproom is the second soccer-themed restaurant in a U.S. airport, following Orlando International Airport (MCO)’s City Pub, dedicated to the Orlando City Soccer Club.

“The community loves their soccer team,” said Mike Assini, Metz’s general manager for GSP. “The team is having a great year, so the Taproom has captured a lot of attention. It’s a destination for local diners as well as airport travelers.”
