Gula Promoted To Executive Director Of CAE

Michael Gula has been named executive director of Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) in South Carolina. Gula previously was director of operations, planning and facilities for CAE, a position he held since 2014. Gula replaced Dan Mann, who has taken over as executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority.

In his new role, Gula will be responsible for the overall operations of the airport, including its business operations, administration, human resources, financing, marketing, community relations, air service development, security and planning, maintenance, safety and development of the Richland-Lexington Airport District and the related airport facilities.

Gula brings more than 15 years of airport administrative experience to this new role at CAE. Previously, he served as director of operations at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), as operations manager at Blue Grass Airport (LEX), and as the manager of operations and cargo development at Toledo Express Airport (TOL).

“I am very excited to transition into the role of executive director at CAE and work with the airport commission, staff, stakeholders and community,” says Gula. “I look forward to opportunities that will continue to make CAE a regional catalyst for air service, cargo and economic growth.”
