Haring Named Director At Lincoln

The Lincoln Airport Authority’s board of directors announced that David Haring will be the new executive director at Lincoln (LNK) starting in September.

He’ll replace John Wood, who has announced plans to retire.

Haring has 13 years of experience with Cheyenne Regional (CYS), where he is director of aviation.

In Lincoln, Haring will oversee development of Lincoln Air Park West, an industrial park operated by the authority; he also will be responsible for the operation of all airport and aviation facilities.

“This is an exciting time for the Lincoln Airport and the city of Lincoln,” Haring says. “Passenger traffic is on an upward trend and facilities improvements are underway. Additionally, the industrial park is an important resource for new and expanding businesses in the Lincoln area.”

John Hoppe, chairman of the authority, says the selection committee was impressed with Haring’s background.

“He will hit the ground running and help elevate the Lincoln Airport to new heights as an economic engine for the community,” Hoppe says.
