Detroit Metropolitan International (DTW) has awarded HDS Retail North America a contract to operate four locations in the airport’s new North Terminal. The five-year agreement is forecasted to generate over $37M.
In a joint venture with Michigan-based, DBE certified AP United, LLC, HDS will be introducing their Relay and USA Today Travel Zone concepts. A Caribou Coffee will be included in one of the Relay and USA Today Travel Zone stores to augment those locations with a gourmet coffee and grab & go element.
“We’re genuinely excited to be joining forces with the talented team at the Wayne County Airport Authority. Our team is looking forward to working with the Authority to help rejuvenate customer experience at Detroit-Metro.”, says HDS Retail president & CEO Gerry Savaria.
HDS Retail operates a network of 300 stores, including 100 locations in 16 airports in North America and is a fully owned subsidiary of Lagardere Services.
