HDS Retail North America and Boutique iStore Canada have entered into an agreement for HDS to exclusively develop and operate Boutique iStore airport locations throughout North America.
“We are very excited to partner with Boutique iStore,” says Jonathan Alpert, vice president of merchandising for HDS. “We believe that the concept has captured a very specific niche in digital lifestyle retailing and that it will fill a gap in the current airport retail landscape. Developing this concept is very much in line with our promise to energize our airports’ concessions programs.”
Boutique iStore is a Digital Lifestyle retail and authorized Apple reseller; it also carries InCase, Skull Candy, Monster, iLuv Sennheiser. The agreement also Boutique iStore supplying electronics accessories and merchandise to various HDS stores.
“We have an ambitious growth plan and airports are an important part of it,” say Joel Teitelbaum and Mike Battat, founders of Boutique iStore. “Joining forces with a world leader in travel retail to accelerate that area of our development will allow our team to focus on streets and malls, as well as direct sourcing of innovative and unique products to keep the concept relevant over time.
