Heck Tapped As DEN Chief Commercial Officer

Patrick Heck has been selected as Denver International’s (DEN) new chief commercial officer-executive vice president of global development.

In his new role, Heck will oversee commercial properties, concessions, parking and ground transportation, air service development, airline affairs, and strategic partnerships and economic development.

Heck has been with DEN since 2006, when he began as the airport’s strategic advisor. From 2007 to 2009, he was the deputy manager for revenue and business development. Finally, he was chief financial officer from 2009 to 2014. He most recently served as vice president for commercial at Manchester Airport Group USA.

“We are so happy to welcome Patrick Heck back to DEN,” says Kim Day, airport CEO. “Patrick has a long history at DEN that includes experience managing billions of dollars in airport debt and assets, as well as a deep knowledge of the airport’s financial and business operations. Patrick will oversee our global development through ambitious revenue generation and elite air service development programs as we grow our presence and increase connections around the world while keeping the costs to our airlines competitive.”

Heck will start in his new position on Sept. 19.
