Car rental company Hertz has installed 42 Level 2 Tesla wall connector charging stations at the Tampa International Airport (TPA) Consolidated Rental Car Center. Customers at TPA’s Hertz location can now rent Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y; the Polestar 2; Chevrolet’s Bolt EV and EUV; and Hyundai’s Kona.
“We support our partners’ sustainability efforts, including electric vehicle charging infrastructure,” said Laurie Noyes, TPA vice president of concessions and commercial parking. “These new charging stations demonstrate the investment Hertz is making in electric vehicles and provides more options for TPA rental car customers who may prefer an EV, or even want to try one out for the first time.”
Hertz, which began renting EVs to airport customers last year, also plans to install 12 Tesla Superchargers at its airport maintenance facility in the future.
