High Flying Foods Hires Wytmar As Vice President Of Development

Carla Wytmar has joined San Francisco-based High Flying Foods as vice president of development.

“We are elated to have Carla join the senior management team at High Flying Foods,” says Glenn Meyers, CEO of High Flying Foods. “Her experience, expertise, and strong concession industry relationships coupled with her proven track record of growing Vino Volo will be a great asset to High Flying Foods and the exciting initiatives we have in play.”

Wytmar’s duties will include strategic planning, developing new business opportunities and leading new ventures for airport operations. Prior to joining the company, she served as director of development for Vino Volo for eight years. Additionally, Wytmar was an executive with the Walt Disney Co., where she created the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. She also served as director of catering with the Hyatt Hotels Corp.

“I’m delighted to be a part of the dynamic High Flying Foods team,” says Wytmar. “It’s a perfect fit for me. I’m thrilled to draw upon my restaurant industry experience and refocus on the food side of the business. It was a fantastic experience growing Vino Volo from one to 36 stores. As one of the owners of the company, I have a vested interest in its future growth, and I wish Doug Tomlinson and the entire team continued success.”

High Flying Foods is a family-owned business co-founded by brothers Glenn and Garrett Meyers, featuring farm-to-table and local chef-driven restaurants. The company has locations at San Diego International (SAN), Oakland International (OAK) and San Francisco International (SFO).
