HMSHost, Be Free Village Deliver Gluten-Free Options To BOI

HMSHost Corp. has teamed up with Be Free Village to bring gluten-free food offerings to travelers at Boise (BOI).

Be Free Village, a startup company formed out the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce
b|launched competition, focuses on delivering gluten-free menu options to travelers in the way of meal boxes. Its products can be found at two Moxie Java locations at the airport: pre-security in the Second Floor Rotunda and on Concourse C.

“With an increased focus in today’s world on healthy and gluten-free dining options, Be Free Village is a perfect addition to HMSHost’s offerings at Boise Airport,” says Joe Waller, vice president of business development at HMSHost. “Be Free Village is growing rapidly, and we couldn’t be happier to help them get their start in the airport market.”

Meal options include the Have It All Box, the flagship gluten-free meal box including five gluten-free snack items: wild garden sun-dried tomato hummus; wheat-free, gluten-free original crackers from Mary’s Gone Crackers; glazed pomegranate cashews from Sahale Snacks; apple cinnamon crisps from Brothers-All-Natural; and 66 percent dark cacao with orange from Be Free Village, powered by Good Cacao. Another selection is the Sweet & Savory Box which includes Angie’s sweet & salty popcorn; Manuvo Harvest tropical dried fruit; glazed honey almonds from Sahale Snacks; and the 66 percent Dark Cacao with Orange from Be Free Village, powered by Good Cacao.

“We are thrilled that the Boise Airport is supporting a local Boise startup and couldn’t be happier to have a partner like HMSHost to help us get started in the airport industry,” says Lisa Bloomquist, one of seven co-founders of Be Free Village. “The b|launched program has given us the opportunity to find a need and launch a company that will help travelers have easier access to gluten-free products and resources.”
