HMSHost Brings Back Airport Restaurant Month

The month of May will see the return of Airport Restaurant Month by HMSHost Corp., this year with an expansion overseas.

Almost 90 restaurants among more than 50 airports will participate in the event. And for the first time, airports in Europe will also participate. Restaurants operated by Host’s parent company, Autogrill, at Brussels (BRU), Zurich (ZRH) and Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino (FCO) will partake in the festivities.

Each participating location will be able to customize its menu based on special dishes created by HMSHost’s corporate executive chef and culinary team. Some dishes available include rosemary grilled shrimp, flat-iron steak, parmesan-crusted chicken and a baked Portobello mushroom.

“HMSHost created the first-of-its-kind monthly holiday because one week isn’t enough to celebrate our culinary creativity,” says Atousa Ghoreichi, vice president of marketing for Host. “We are thrilled that the success of Airport Restaurant Month at North American airports has resulted in a global launch this May, where travelers in select airports in Europe can now experience this month-long culinary event.”
