HMSHost Brings New Restaurant To SFO As Part Of New Contract

HMSHost Corp. is opening the first airport location of San Francisco-based burger joint Super Duper Burgers as part of the company’s new six-year contract with the airport, which the company said is valued at $33 million.

The restaurant, which will be located in the airport’s International Terminal, is scheduled to open early in 2018.

Super Duper Burgers’ menu includes the Super Burger, which is made from two four-ounce patties; the mini burger; the chicken sandwich with chipotle aioli; and the veggie burger blended from hummus, cucumber and Super Duper’s signature Super Sauce. Sides include fresh-fired fries and garlic fries. A Super Salad is also available, as well as soft-serve ice cream served as a shake or in a cone.

The concept’s breakfast offerings feature an organic egg sandwich with bacon, sausage and avocado; house-made donuts; and Four Barrel coffee. Super Duper Burgers will also have a grab-and-go section for travelers who are in a hurry.

“HMSHost is proud to deliver travelers the best dining choices in the industry, and we are excited to enhance the traveler experience with this great local favorite at San Francisco International Airport,” says Kent Vanden Oever, vice president of business development. “Super Duper Burgers’ success began in San Francisco and quickly grew to be loved across the Bay Area. We are thrilled to now be able to introduce these delicious burgers to the thousands of world travelers that go through San Francisco International Airport on a daily basis.”

HMSHost will also continue to operate Gordon Biersch, Max’s Eatz, Max’s E.V.O.O. Café and three Starbucks locations.
