The Sacramento County Department of Airports has recommended that HMSHost, High Flying Foods, Bambuza Hospitality and three other firms be awarded contracts to operated concessions at Sacramento International Airport. The awards must be approved by the County of Sacramento Board of Supervisors. A meeting is scheduled for early February.
HMSHost has been recommended to operate six F&B locations in Package 1, the largest of eight packages. HMSHost proposed to operate Café Bernardo + Café Bernardo Express, two Wendy’s locations, two Starbucks in combination with markets and a stand-alone Starbucks. HMSHost was also selected for Package 6, a single location, where it will operate Magpie Café + Centro Cocina Mexicana + New Helvetia Brewing.
The Department of Airports recommended that High Flying Foods be awarded contracts to operate the three locations that comprise Package 2. The company proposed a Temple Coffee concept, Nixtaco and Bawk! By Urban Roots.
Bambuza South Waterfront, LLC was selected for Package 4 and plans to operate two Bambuza Vietnam Kitchen & Bar locations, while West Coast SMF, LLC, with Package 3, will operate two West Coast Sourdough Deli locations.
For the single-location Package 7, Rylo Management LLC was tapped to operate OneSpeed Pizza. For Package 8, Fly With Breeze, Inc. was selected to operate Midtown Spirits.
