HMSHost Corp. has opened concessions at two airports: Port Columbus International (CMH) and San Francisco International (SFO).
Buckeye Hall of Fame Café©, at Concourse C, and Famous Famiglia, in the pre-security Gateway Plaza food court, have arrived at CMH. Buckeye, which is designed to honor the Ohio State University athletes, is a local favorite; Famous Famiglia, a national brand, features pizzas, pastas, calzones, strombolies, salads and muffins.
“HMSHost has done a skillful job creating a first-class concession program for our travelers. The restaurants look wonderful, the food is delicious and travelers tell us they are enjoying the new concepts and appreciate the inclusion of healthy alternatives,” says Connie Tursic, real estate manager for the Columbus Regional Airport Authority.
The two eateries are the latest in a string of openings at CMH, which also include Chili’s Too on Concourse A, Johnny Rockets on Concourse C, and Starbucks Coffee on Concourses A and C, among others.
“We worked with the Port Columbus team to create a terrific blend of the best national and local restaurants for Port Columbus travelers. Our goal is to make the traveler’s day better and these quality restaurants will do that,” said Joe Waller, vice president of business development for HMSHost.
At SFO, HMSHost has teamed up with MNG by Mango to open the first store in a U.S. airport.
The store, in the Terminal 3, Concourse F hub, offers women’s clothing designed by Penelope and Monica Cruz. Styles include basic T-shirts, jeans, trench coats, swimwear and evening dresses.
“Bright colors in fitted styles and more sophisticated pieces in black, white and khaki appeal to SFO travelers who make room for style in their suitcases,” says Nina Lundgren, travel retail director of international expansion for Mango. “From dress up to dress down, women will always be fashionable in something from MNG by Mango.”
