HMSHost Offers 3 New Flavors At LAX

HMSHost Corp. has opened the first airport locations of La Brea Bakery and Baja Fresh Express in Terminal 7 of Los Angeles International (LAX). On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina has also opened, in Terminal 4.

“LAX serves a wide range of travelers, from business to leisure, groups and families. They’re always glad to see enhancements to the selection of restaurant brands brought to us by our concession partner HMSHost,” says Gina Marie Lindsey, Executive Director of Los Angeles World Airports.

La Brea Bakery, which can also be found in Terminals 1 and 2, offers European-inspired hot and cold sandwiches, soups, salads and pastries.

“La Brea Bakery is excited about the opportunity to partner with HMSHost in bringing our great food to people from all around the world,” says John Yamin, chief executive officer of La Brea Bakery. “HMSHost’s kiosk program enables us to serve our quality breads, sandwiches and salads in airports everywhere. They are by far the leaders in the industry and it is an honor to have them operating our La Brea Bakery kiosk.”

For diners seeking a “fresh Mex” restaurant with roots in Southern California, Baja Fresh Express allows guests to build their own burrito. The hybrid version of Baja Fresh gets guests through their order in about four minutes and offers burritos, fajitas, tacos, salads and quesadillas.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina serves authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.  THE OTB Original Fajita served straight off the grill with Mesquite-grilled steak or chicken and traditional accompaniments in a fresh tortilla; the Border Chimichanga, fried and topped with ranchero sauce and cheeses, is served with Mexican rice and black or refried beans.

“Los Angeles International Airport travelers expect and deserve variety and quality, which these highly favored brands represent,” says Steve Johnson, senior vice president of business development for HMSHost. “We’re committed to working with local businesses and bringing LAX’s travelers outstanding dining options that showcase a flavor of the city.”

The company will add Gladstone’s Seafood to Terminal 3 later this fall.
