HMSHost Corp. has given shoppers new choices at two airports.
Together with Master ConcessionAir and LorenaGARCIA Cocnia, it has debuted Bacardi Mojito Bar at Miami International (MIA).
“We proudly welcome the new Bacardi Mojito Bar to MIA’s North Terminal, where thousands of daily passengers in this area of the airport can enjoy one of Miami’s signature beverages in numerous variations as well as fine dining by LorenaGARCIA Cocina,” says Adrian Songer, Miami-Dade Aviation Department Commercial Operations Chief. “Congratulations to Master ConcessionAir, LorenaGARCIA Cocina and
HMSHost for opening another exceptional dining option at MIA.”
The cocktail bar offers premium, signature rums, including Bacardi Superior, Bacardi Gold and Bacardi Limon. The premium Bacardi Anejo can be served straight up or mixed into a signature cocktail.
The bar also offers a menu created by celebrity chef Lorena Garcia. The custom-designed menu features Caribbean and Latin American influence.
“Master ConcessionAir is very proud to unveil Bacardi Mojito Bar with LorenaGARCIA Cocina, connecting a popular, globally recognized beverage brand, with its U.S. corporate office based in Miami, to a celebrity chef with local ties to the Miami community, resulting in an extraordinary dining experience with a Caribbean flare
for MIA travelers,” says Peter Amaro, president and COO of Master ConcessionAir.
Lorena Garcia, CEO of LorenaGARCIA Cocina, says she is excited to open her doors at MIA.
“I have always wanted to offer great food options to travelers, with flavorful food that is fresh, made on premise to order, and easy to carry on the plane,” she says. “The restaurant being in Miami, my hometown, makes it close to my heart. For those travelers passing through Concourse D: Stop by and enjoy great food and a beautiful setting.”
Stephen Douglas, vice president of business development for HMSHost, says the company is “very proud to celebrate the opening of Bacardi Mojito Bar with Peter Amaro, one of our long-time airport concessions disadvantaged business enterprise partners at this airport. And we know the Latin flavors of celebrity chef Lorena Garcia will be welcomed warmly by MIA’s travelers.”
Across the country, HMSHost has opened concepts at San Francisco International (SFO) as part of a 10-year retail concessions contract at the airport, where it has been since 1954 – the company’s first foray into airport dining and shopping.
In SFO’s newly renovated Terminal 2, travelers can find Kiehl’s and MANGO, as well as Sunset NEWS, San Francisco News Express and a new Starbucks.
“I applaud HMSHost for bringing these great brands to Terminal 2,” said SFO Airport Director John L. Martin. “Their history in this building and the quality of their shops will certainly deliver on our promise of an enhanced passenger experience in Terminal 2.”
Kiehl’s offers skin, body and hair care products for men, women, children and pets. At MANGO, shoppers will find fashion apparel and accessories.
