HMSHost announced some of the new restaurants planned for Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in the airport’s Concourse A, which is undergoing expansion. HMSHost was awarded a contract extension at CLT in October 2016, allowing it to operate and expand food and beverage offerings through 2030.
The new offerings include two local breweries that will open in mid-2018. Charlotte-based NoDa Brewing Company will open its first airport location in the expanded Concourse A, consisting of a full-service restaurant and bar along with small-batch beers. HMSHost will open a kiosk location for Olde Mecklenburg Brewery in Concourse E, serving an assortment of the local brewery’s craft beers.
HMSHost will also open two additional Starbucks locations once the Concourse A expansion is completed. Beginning this spring, the Stella Artois-inspired Chalice Bar will offer a selection of beers in Concourse C. In mid-2018, HMSHost will open a Jersey Mike’s quick-service submarine sandwich shop in the airport atrium.
“HMSHost is excited to debut on-trend, regional and national restaurants and bars for Charlotte Douglas travelers as part of our plans to enrich the airport with new and innovative concepts,” says Stephen Douglas, HMSHost’s vice president of business development.
