HMSHost Wins Contract Extension MCO

HMSHost Corp.’s food and beverage contract at Orlando International (MCO) will be extended for five years through 2024.

With the extension, HMSHost will also be expanding its offerings at the airport with an $11 million upgrade. The upgrades will be to the company’s existing restaurants, while also adding new ones. HMSHost will add Bahama Breeze, an Orlando-based concept that features Caribbean-inspired food and tropical drinks; MKT, Host’s proprietary market-style dining concept that offers healthy options; and a food truck with a rotating menu of different cuisines. All will be added in Airside 4.

Additionally, the company will update two locations in the pre-security to become American Craft Tavern and Firehouse Subs. Host will also open two new Starbucks stores.

“HMSHost is absolutely delighted about the opportunity to continue growing our partnership with Orlando International Airport, and we truly look forward to moving ahead with these developments together,” said Steve Johnson, HMSHost president and CEO. “We could not be more excited about delivering industry-leading dining options and continuing to provide our award-winning service to Orlando travelers.”
