HMSHost Wins MCO Contract

HMSHost, along with ACDBE partners Ankur Sakhuja of Pita Hut Enterprises, Inc. and Deshaun Scott of Lago Dora, LLC, has been awarded a 10-year contract to bring seven new dining locations to Orlando International Airport’s (MCO) new South Terminal. The new locations are set to open in early 2021, aligning with the airport’s modernization project.

“We’re bringing travelers of this vibrant family friendly destination equally great dining experiences that represent the welcoming, outgoing character of the city,” says Steve Johnson, president and CEO of HMSHost. “We are excited to offer an outstanding lineup of on-trend food with international favorites to this top U.S. travel destination and iconic Florida brands in partnership with Orlando’s local chefs.”

HMSHost will add burger restaurant Shake Shack and Orange County Brewers, a taproom and restaurant featuring flavors of downtown Orlando’s first craft brewery. The PGA Tour Grill will feature meal options alongside interactive entertainment including a putting green in the middle of the dining room and a golf simulator for travelers to work on their back swing during layovers. PGA Tour Grill is opening in partnership with Arnold Palmer Enterprises.

Two new Starbucks stores will open in the pre-security area of the terminal, and Foxtail Coffee Co., a local concept, will open in the airport’s rental car center. HMSHost will also open an Auntie Anne’s in Terminal 2.

HMSHost currently operates the recently opened Bahama Breeze restaurant in B Terminal, as well as Outback Steakhouse, Macaroni Grill, Firehouse Subs, and more.
