HMSHost’s Contract Extended At SAV

HMSHost Corp. has won a 10-year contract extension at Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV). The contract is valued at $87 million.

Host will now operate at the airport through 2032. During that time, the company will add new concepts, including PGA Tour Grill and Service Brewing Taphouse later this year and in 2017.

“HMSHost is proud to deliver travelers the best dining choices in the industry, and we are excited to continue our partnership with Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to enhance the traveler experience with great food and drink options for many years to come,” says Stephen Douglas, vice president of business development. “Given the Savannah and Hilton Head areas are considered top golf destinations in North America, it is fitting to bring the PGA Tour Grill to the thousands of visitors and locals flying in and out of the airport.”

PGA Tour Grill was developed through Host’s partnership with the PGA Tour. The concept will feature numerous flat-screen TVs showing live tournament action, highlights from previous tournaments and Golf Channel programming.

Service Brewing Taphouse is based on Service Brewing Co., a local concept known for its brews and charitable work in Savannah.

“We are glad to have been able to expand our relationship with HMSHost as part of a major upgrade package of our food and beverage concession,” says Greg Kelly, executive director of SAV. “We are especially pleased that we were able to include Service Brewing Co. in the new program as it was a major objective of ours to have local participation.”
