HNL Previews New Lounge

Hawaiian Airlines has released renderings of its new premium lounge scheduled to land at Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in late 2027. Located at the entrance of the Mauka Concourse in Terminal 1, the lounge will feature a space five times larger than the airline’s existing HNL lounge and will showcase design elements referencing the region’s natural beauty through pops of color, sculptural elements as well as reflective beams of light. The lounge announcement follows the opening of  Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club at Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG) and the airline’s merger with Alaska Airlines in September 2024.

“We are reimagining the travel experience with spaces that showcase our dedication to guest satisfaction and the unique culture of Hawai‘i,” said Todd Traynor-Corey, vice president of guest products and experience at Alaska Airlines. “Our new Honolulu lounge will be the first-of-its-kind within this space and will offer a modern oasis for our guests to enjoy.”

“Our new Honolulu lounge will be a celebration of our guest’s voyage, thoughtfully crafted to honor the beauty and warmth of our island home,” added Alisa Onishi, director of brand and culture at Hawaiian Airlines. “This space reinforces our commitment to providing an unrivaled travel experience that reflects the purpose and values of our hometown airline.”
