HOU Opens Two New Concessions

William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) has added two more dining concepts to its new West Food Court. Travelers near Gate 1 can now enjoy fare like orange chicken, Thai coconut curry chicken and Mongolian steak from Pei Wei Asian Express as well as chicken sandwiches and waffle fries from a relocated Chick-fil-A, both operated by Areas USA. The openings mark the completion of Phase 2 of HOU’s multi-phase concessions overhaul. The airport plans to open nine more concepts, four of which are set to open before the end of the year, including Common Bond bistro (replacing the airport’s previous Chick-fil-A location); Yard House restaurant and brewery; SpindleTap Brewery; and Killen’s Barbecue restaurant; and five set to begin work at the conclusion of Phase 3, including Landry’s Seafood Kitchen; Dish Society restaurant; Pink’s Pizza; Jersey Mike’s; and Wendy’s.

“Bringing new dining options to Hobby Airport is all about creating a wonderful experience for our travelers,” said Francisco Cuellar, chief commercial development officer for Houston Airports. “Introducing these new restaurants reflects our dedication to offering a variety of delicious and high-quality choices to enhance the passenger journey.”

“We are excited to welcome these new restaurants, which are elevating the airport dining experience by offering travelers more variety, quality, and convenience,” added Libby Hurley, director of concessions for Houston Airports. “We want every passenger to find something they enjoy, whether they’re in a rush or have time to relax before their flight.”
