Hudson Group has opened three retail kiosks at Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), two souvenir outlets and a candy store.
Destination New Mexico and Albuquerque Outpost are both 145 square feet. They offer souvenir items, ranging from rattlesnake coffee mugs to road-runner key chains to kitchen items such as potholders and decorative dish towels. It also offers hard goods such as magnets or assorted gift pens and other souvenir goods such as T-shirts, plush toys, hats and goods that honor New Mexico’s tourist attractions such as Route 66 and Roswell.
“The kiosk will have a mix of merchandise that varies over time in order to provide an interesting and continually updated mix of gift products,” says Laura Samuels, spokeswoman. “The kiosks are small and will thus carry items in limited quantities in an ever-changing assortment.”
Southwest Indulgences is 290 square feet. It offers chocolates, sweets, candy and other offerings from local, regional and international brands. Featured prominently will be Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory confections such as toffees, truffles and sugar-free items.
“Travelers frequently seek out little personal indulgences as an antidote to travel stress,” Samuels says.
