Hudson Group has debuted the first free-standing Juicy Couture airport store at John F. Kennedy International (JFK).
The brand, founded by Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy, was founded in 1997 and acquired by Liz Claiborne Inc. in 2003. Its offerings include apparel for women, girls and baby; handbags; shoes; intimates; swimwear; fragrance; accessories; jewelry; sunglasses and small goods.
“We are delighted to bring this great American brand to Terminal 7,” says Joe DiDomizio, president and CEO of Hudson Group. “Like our successful Victoria’s Secret in JFK Terminal 4 and our Coach store in Newark Liberty Terminal C, the Juicy Couture luxury brand status will appeal to travelers, particularly international ones eager to take home the latest American designs.”
Hudson Group will operate the 700 sq. ft. store under a licensing agreement with Juicy Couture.
“Juicy Couture brings us a new excitement, where its diverse, fun and colorful mix of products offers an edge for our young and trendy international travelers,” says Sonia Kanda, commercial manager for British Airways – JFK Terminal 7. “We thank our partner Hudson Group for offering freshness to our developing retail program, and even more for introducing the Juicy brand to airport retail.”
