Hudson Customers Donate More Than $1 Million In Phone Cards To Military

The season of giving is here, but Hudson Group customers have already been showing their generosity.

With a promotion that started in late 2014, the company’s customers have donated more than $1 million dollars worth of phone cards to the military. That is equal to around 79,000 cards.

The cards retail for $15 each and allow troops to call their families and friends at home and also provide free Internet access. The cards work from landlines and payphones around the world, including war zones.

“There’s definitely a need to do something for the troops,” says Justin Butterfield, Hudson’s general manager at San Diego International (SAN). “We have one of the world’s largest airport USO’s, and it is great to be able to partner with them.”

The promotion is available in 27 Hudson Booksellers, Hudson News and Hudson airport store locations.

Customers at Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA) have donated the most cards with 25,178, followed by San Diego International (SAN) with 15,170 and Los Angeles International (LAX) with 13,637.
