Hudson Group and McCarran International (LAS) announced a seven-year extension of the retailer’s contract to operate duty-free and duty-paid retail at the Las Vegas airport.
The contract, in tandem with Hudson Las Vegas JV and The Nuance Group, covers more than 18,000 square feet of retail space, including a new 6,000-square-foot exclusive duty-free and duty-paid combination store called Las Vegas Dufry Shopping in Terminal One’s D gates.
International duty-free operator Dufry is Hudson Group’s parent company.
The Las Vegas Dufry Shopping store will offer an assortment of products and brands across the main duty-free categories, including perfumes, cosmetics, wines and spirits, and confections, as well as duty-paid products in categories such as essentials, electronics and fashion.
Hudson Group currently operates 32 stores throughout LAS, including three duty-free shops under the Nuance banner in Terminal One and Terminal Three that total 11,800 square feet.
“Hudson Group has had the pleasure to serve McCarran International Airport travelers over many years, and we are very appreciative to have the opportunity to offer broader shopping options than ever before,” says Joseph DiDomizio, CEO for Dufry’s North American division.
McCarran served 47.4 million passengers in 2016, the second-busiest year in LAS’ history.
