Hudson Makes $350,000 Donation To Communities In Schools

Hudson Group recently presented representatives from Communities in Schools a check for $350,000.

As part of its annual tradition, the company collected money at its stores at airports and in bus and rail terminals via countertop boxes that encourage customers to donate spare change to charity. Hudson gave the organization the money during the company’s recent Management Seminar & Vendor Show.

“Hudson has been working with CIS for five years, and we have tremendous respect for the results they achieve with young people,” says Hudson President and CEO Joe DiDomizio. “It’s a great cause, and we are always amazed at the generosity of our customers in their support of this worthy organization.”

Communities In Schools, based in Arlington, Va., is a dropout-prevention organization, surrounding local kids with an entire community of support. It serves 1.25 million at-risk students through nearly 200 local affiliates in 27 states and the District of Columbia.
