At its annual Management Seminar and Vendor Show, Hudson Group made a donation of $300,000 to Communities in Schools.
During the year, Hudson stores collect money through counter-top boxes at cash registers, encouraging customers to make donations.
“We thank our Hudson customers for their incredible generosity to help nearly 1.5 million students from dropping out,” says Joe DiDomizio, president and CEO of Hudson. “We look forward to continuing—and expanding upon—our partnership with CIS. Indeed, every child deserves the opportunity to rise to the very top of their potential with an education.”
Communities in Schools is an organization focused on preventing students from dropping out of school. It has almost 200 local affiliates in 25 states and the District of Columbia. The group uses services already available in communities to help these students and create a support network for them.
“This donation represents not only the tremendous leadership of Joe and the Hudson team but also the deep generosity of Hudson’s customers,” says Daniel Cardinali, president of CIS. “We are grateful for the help it will provide to those disadvantaged students who need our collective support to stay in school and achieve in life.”
