Hungry Travelers Have New Choices At EWR

Six new dining options are on the menu at Newark International (EWR).

Blue Point RA Bar, Champps Americana, Currito Cantina, Grand Central Oyster Bar, Hamachi Sushi and Tony Roma’s will be operated by Areas USA.

“Areas USA is proud to partner with Westfield Concession Management [developer and manager of the concessions program] to bring The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, Continental Airlines and their 30 million passengers high-quality dining options at Newark Liberty International Airport,” says Josh Humphrey, general manager of Areas USA. “Areas USA is dedicated to providing travelers with quick, friendly and high-quality service. With world renown brands like Tony Roma’s, Champps Americana and Grand Central Oyster Bar, New York institutions like Hamachi Sushi, along with fresh new concepts like Blue Point RA Bar and Currito Cantina, travelers through Newark Liberty International Airport are sure to find just what they are looking for to enhance their travel experience.”

Tona Roma’s, known for its baby back ribs, makes its airport debut at EWR’s Terminal A. Offerings also include steaks, barbecue chicken, seafood and salad.

At Champps Americana, patrons will find burgers, chicken, turkey, ribs and beer. Televisions allow them to watch the game at the sports restaurant/bar concept, which can be found in Terminal B.

In Terminal C, Grand Central Oyster Bar brings a taste of New York sophistication and seafood to the airport. There are pan roasts, clam chowders, East and West Coast oysters and an award-winning wine list from which to choose.

Also in Terminal C, sushi lovers can get their fix at Hamachi Sushi, which serves up a mixture of traditional sushi and house specialties such as the Spicy Tuna Pizza. Those wanting liquor can find options including traditional sake, signature cocktails such as the Red Headed Samurai and Ginger Plum Mojito.

The menu at Blue Point RA Bar includes fresh shucked oysters, seafood, salad and sandwiches, along with a fully stocked bar. The lounge-style restaurant is in Terminal B.

Chef-driven dishes inspired by regional Mexican cuisine dominate at Currito Cantina, a full-service taqueria and sit-down restaurant in Terminal A. It is the first full-service airport concept based on Currito Burritos Without Borders.
