During the month of September, the Indianapolis Airport Authority will hold three informational meetings for anyone interested in the airport’s concessions “refresh” program.
The meetings will help educate and prepare businesses for a request-for-proposal opportunity coming up in spring 2017. The refresh program focuses on showcasing local foods, beverages and brands that are representative of Indianapolis.
“A number of existing concessionaire and retailer leases will expire in 2017, which presents an opportunity for the IAA to take food, beverage and retail in a fresh direction, one that shouts, ‘We are Indianapolis,’” says Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the IAA.
The informational sessions will be run by IAA staff and consultants. They will present plans for the proposal process and talk about what is involved in operating in the airport.
Below is the meeting schedule:
- Session 1: Monday, Sept. 19 at 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the 4th Floor Board Room at IND.
- Session 2: Thursday, Sept. 29 at 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the auditorium in Fishers Town Hall.
- Session 3: Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6-8 p.m. in the conference room at the Indianapolis Urban League.
