Indianapolis International (IND) will be presented with an award Tuesday recognizing it as the best airport in North America.
The award, presented by Airports Council International Director General Angela Gittens, is part of ACI’s Airport Service Quality awards for performance excellence.
It’s the third time IND has won the honor, which is based on customer surveys covering 34 aspects of the airport experience.
Dignitaries, including Deron Kintner, Indianapolis’ deputy mayor; Leonard Hoops, president and CEO of Visit Indy; Michael Wells, Indianapolis Airport Authority board president; and others were in attendance.
“Our employees and business partners continually work hard to deliver an airport customer experience second to none, and it continues to show in our passenger survey results,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director for the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “We will remain focused on that commitment and on growing all of the many ways our airport benefits the communities we serve. We are extremely proud to be recognized as one of the best airports in the world with this prestigious award.”
