InMotion and journeyPod have teamed up to offer on-the-go, downloadable travel guides for MP3 players.
The podcasts can be pre-loaded onto iPods and other MP3 players bought at InMotion stores, or customers can download them for free from in-store airport kiosks, known as “PlayPoint.” Free music, games and movie previews are also available.
The guides offer information about local restaurants, hotels, bars and attractions for 21 major cities, including New York, N.Y.; Los Angeles, Calif.; and Atlanta, Ga.
“Being the largest portable entertainment retailer specifically designed for the transportation marketplace, it was only natural to partner with the company who was first to launch luxury travel podcasts on iTunes,” says Eden Goldberg, vice president of marketing and business development of InMotion Entertainment.
Ryan Bifulco, executive producer and founder of journeyPod, says, “If you are jumping on a flight to LA or Tokyo, now you can get the inside scoop right from your iPod or MP3 player and learn about local restaurants, nightlife and attractions.”
