The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and the Food & Shops at LaGuardia’s (LGA) Central Terminal teamed up last week to celebrate the history of aviation during National Aviation Week.
The museum, which is slated to re-open Nov. 8 at the new Pier 86, has 30 restored aircraft, former USS Growler submarine and Concorde. It opened a special historical exhibit at the airport in conjunction with its grand reopening efforts.
The display at LGA includes replicas of fighter planes that have launched from the Intrepid, along with other memorabilia, and runs through Nov. 10.
Visitors can win one of the exhibited planes, as well as tickets to the museum, by entering at www.shoplaguardia.com. The drawing will be Nov. 11.
