Delaware North has a new concept in Terminal 3’s Concourse E at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL), paying tribute to famous golfer Jack Nicklaus.
Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Grill is serving up Nicklaus family recipes in the 2,800-square-foot space. Menu highlights include chicken parmesan, meatloaf, grilled salmon, margherita flatbread pizza and key lime pie.
“We’ve been working hand-in-hand with the Nicklauses to develop the Golden Bear Grill,” said Kevin Kelly, president of Delaware North Travel. “It’s an exciting space where you sit, you relax with a beverage and then, of course, you enjoy the food from Barbara’s kitchen.”
Jack Nicklaus and his wife Barbara were on hand for the grand opening, as well as Delaware North Chairman Jeremy Jacobs. The Jacobs’ and Nicklaus’ have been friends for years. Through that connection, the idea of a restaurant came to fruition.
“The night that it opened it was just like a vacuum, everyone got sucked right in here,” said Mark Gale, director of aviation for Broward County. “Everyone has just had a phenomenal time here. It’s a great additional to already the fine offerings here at FLL.”
This is the first location of the Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Grill. Delaware North plans to open a second location at Charleston International (CHS).
