JFK T4 to Celebrate World Smile Day

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 4 is encouraging terminal staff and passengers to celebrate World Smile Day on October 4 with a social media campaign on Instagram and Twitter.

This Thursday, terminal workers and travelers will be encouraged to take photos of their smiles and post them using the hashtag #T4SMILE. The pictures will be then be converted into photo stickers which will be hand-placed on a wall, creating a beautiful mosaic of smiling faces.

To commemorate the day, terminal staff will also give out T4-branded toothpaste and toothbrush packages to customers. The event at Terminal 4, which is operated by JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT), will be powered by Luster, a company specializing in experiential social media interactions.

World Smile Day began in 1963 with the invention of the smiley face, which was designed by Harvey Ball.
