JFK Terminal One Launches Lounge RFP

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)’s New Terminal One is seeking two new lounge operators as part of its $19-billion-dollar redevelopment project scheduled to open in 2026.

The RFP, issued by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, seeks partners to operate two spaces: a 9,100-square-foot, post-security common use lounge and a 4,000-square-foot pre-security area designed for both arriving and departing international travelers. The RFP requires participants to include 30% minority- and women-owned businesses as well as 10% local business participation. Both lounges are likely to see significant traffic, with seven partner airlines, including Air France, KLM, Etihad Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Korean Air, EVA Airways and Air Serbia, committed to operate out of the airport’s new terminal.

“To support our ambition to be among the top five terminals in the world, we are seeking lounge partners who share our mission to create extraordinary moments for our guests as they journey through the largest dedicated international terminal at JFK,” said Simon Gandy, executive vice president and COO of New Terminal One. “These lounges provide a fantastic opportunity for operators to reset the bar and showcase state-of-the-art amenities and experiences that are like no other to the thousands of passengers who will pass through our doors every day.”
