Jim Szczesniak Appointed Manager Of ANC

Jim Szczesniak has been appointed manager of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). In this role Szczesniak will be responsible for leadership and senior-level direction.

With a BS in aviation management from Southern Illinois University and an MBA in accounting and finance from the University of Chicago, Szczesniak previously served as airport operations supervisor, director of aviation planning and deputy commissioner of aviation for Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway Airport (MDW) in Chicago.

Most recently, Szczesniak served as chief operating officer at Windy City Silkscreening.

“I’m thrilled at this opportunity,” says Szczesniak. “I’m committed to continuing [ANC’s] excellence in customer service and air cargo operations. I look forward to working with Alaska’s business and tourism industries to grow jobs in Alaska based on our air cargo strength and to increase visitor traffic, both domestically and internationally, so that more people can experience the wonders of Alaska.”
