In this role, the selected individual is business driven, trusted as an expert internally and by the airport stakeholder community, oversees strategic initiatives, assures effective communications and:
- Demonstrates the competencies to achieve security and public safety initiatives; develops core business strategies and integrates Public Safety and the Airport Security Program (ASP) consistently with Transportation Security Regulations and Directives (SD), National Incident Management System (NIMS) and AEP coordination with ASP and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Defines strategies including work plans to achieve goals; serves as key resource and advises others on programs; determines and communicates program strategies and results; coordinates capital projects; monitors work progress; anticipates obstacles and develops contingency plans.
- Establishes task ownership and accountability; coaches and mentors staff; responds and encourages perspective; models inclusive and culturally competent behavior; drives alignment of the strategic plan and creates foundation for influence; develops new insights into situations; designs and implements industry trend into practices.
- Forges strategic partnerships with stakeholders to include regulatory and law enforcement agencies to achieve objectives; networks and builds relationships with regulatory agencies to support goals; oversees security and safety vulnerability assessments and implements innovative solutions to manage impacts.
- Models inclusive and culturally competent behavior; negotiates and persuades effectively at all levels of the organization; encourages ideas and innovations; designs and implements sustainable practices.
- Demonstrates leadership in functional and technical ability; exhibits behavior consistent with the organization’s culture, integrates business objectives into work efforts; manages performance to achieve expected results; conveys information clearly and concisely; strengthens personal development and development of others while providing feasible and sustainable work direction.
REQUIREMENTS: BA degree in aeronautical engineering, aviation management, transportation management, business administration or a related field; and eight years of experience in the development and management of airport operations, security and safety programs of which at least three were in a management capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
SALARY INFORMATION: Full pay range: $101, 984 – $137,678 – $173,373
