Sonia Kanda is leaving her position as commercial manager of British Airways Terminal 7 at John F. Kennedy International (JFK). Her last day will be Aug. 26.
She joined British Airways’ corporate sales team in May 2005, and joined concessions management in 2008, where she was tasked with refreshing concessions and services in the terminal, which the airline operates.
She will be moving to the company’s headquarters in London, England, as a contract manager of product and service, overseeing the airline’s global lounges.
“As I embark upon my next career chapter, I reflect with great pride of my three-year success at JFK Terminal 7,” Kanda says. “Specifically, with my passion of service and the support of my vendor partners, I have completely refreshed the concessions program … and leave behind a highly energized local team who themselves now constantly seek innovation for enhanced concepts and services for our collective customers.”
