Kinton Named To ACI-NA Board Of Directors

Airports Council International – North America has elected Thomas Kinton to its board of directors.

Kinton, who has been the chief executive officer and executive director of the Massachusetts Port Authority since 2006, was chosen for the spot at ACI-NA’s annual meeting in Boston.

ACI-NA represents local, regional and state governing bodies that own and operate commercial airports in North America; its members include 174 airport operators with 366 airports in the U.S. and 49 airport operators with 180 airports in Canada – enplaning more than 95% of the domestic and nearly all of the international airline passenger and cargo traffic on the continent.

Kinton holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering and a doctor of commercial science (hon.) from Merrimack College.  In addition to his new role on the ACI-NA board, he is a board member of the New England Council, a board of trustees member for Merrimack College, a member of the Policy Review Committee of the American Association of Airport Executives and a board member of Safe Skies Alliance.
