Koslosky Retiring As Executive Director Of GRR

James Koslosky has announced his retirement as executive director of Gerald R. Ford International (GRR), effective Jan. 1, ending a 43-year career in the airport industry, 21 of which were at GRR.

According to a statement from Kent County Aeronautics Board, the airport has grown from 1.4 million annual passengers to almost 2.2 million throughout the past 20 years under his leadership. Koslosky has also managed several multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects, including renovations to the terminal area and the addition of a four-story, 4,700-space parking ramp.

The board will be meeting in the near future to determine how it will recruit a new director. Koslosky will continue in his current role and assist the board during the transition.

“We thank Jim for his service and commitment to Kent County and the airport, and wish him and his family the best in his well-deserved retirement,” says Joseph A. Tomaselli, chairman of the board, in a statement.
