LAS Puts MasterCard PayPass At Parking Lot Exits

Travelers who park in the major parking lots at McCarran International (LAS) will find an extra layer of convenience when they pay for their parking.

The airport and MasterCard Worldwide have teamed up to offer the MasterCard PayPass(TM) contactless payments in the lots. Travelers can tap their MasterCard PayPass contactless cards or devices at exit lanes.

The move will help streamline parking payments, thus reducing airport congestion. The PayPass will be accepted in 64 locations, including 31 pay stations and 33 entry/exit lanes at LAS’ four main parking lots.

“MasterCard PayPass acceptance at McCarran International Airport will make traveling easier and faster for the millions of people that pass through the airport each year,” says Cathleen Conforti, senior vice president of Global PayPass, MasterCard Worldwide. “Consumer preference for convenient electronic payment methods continues to grow, and with ‘Tap & Go(TM)’ payments, travelers have a quick and easy alternative to cash when paying for parking.”
