Lavender Named MEM VP-Finance/CFO

MEM_LavenderThe Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority has named Sylvester Lavender as its new vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer for Memphis International Airport (MEM).

In his new role, Lavender will be tasked with overseeing the finance, information technology, property management, procurement, and human resources functions for the Authority which owns and operates MEM, as well as two general aviation airports.

Lavender brings more than 18 years of management experience, most recently serving as chief financial officer for Denver International Airport (DEN), where he managed the financial operations including accounting and control, corporate finance, budget and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, capital program control, audits and taxes. Lavender has also worked for Birmingham Airport Authority (BHM), UAB Health Systems and Jefferson Community Credit Union.
