Amber Leathers is the new airport planning director at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) where she will be responsible for the management of design work at the airport, the City of Charlotte announced
Leathers brings more than eight years of experience working for CLT to her new position, most recently serving as planning and environmental manager, where she led the team that develops and manages the $3.28 billion capital program.
“I am honored to be selected for this position,” Leathers said in a press release announcing her new role. “I’ve gotten to witness the airport’s extraordinary growth over the years, and I am excited to lead CLT’s planning division and continue to support the airport’s vision of serving as an economic engine of the Carolinas. Serving as the second largest hub for the world’s largest airline is important to not only this community but for the national air space and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of its contribution.”
Leathers was named to her new position following a search led by Jacksonville, FL-based ADK Consulting & Executive Search.
