The Metropolitan Airport Authority of Rock Island County has appointed Ben Leischner as executive director of the Quad City International Airport (MLI). Beginning May 28, Leischner will manage the business and financial administration, planning, operations and development for MLI.
Before coming to MLI, Leischner worked for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for 14 years. Most recently, he served as SEA’s air operations and scheduling manager. His previous work experience includes positions at Port of Bellingham, Bellingham International Airport (BLI) and DY Consultants.
“I am very excited to join the Metropolitan Airport Authority of Rock Island County and to partner with the Board in the continued success of Quad City International Airport,” says Leischner. “I am very impressed by the people and the community the airport serves and I look forward to partnering with local leaders in pursuing regional initiatives that increase services for the community.”
