MAC Board Meetings To Be Videotaped

Metropolitan Airports Commission meetings always have been open to the public, but now those who miss seeing them in person can view them from home on their computer.

The meetings, during which budgets, policies and ordinances governing the operations at Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP) are decided, will be videotaped and made available via live streaming and video on demand. The videos will be segmented, so people can watch entire meetings or just find the topics that interest them.

“The commission’s airports are important, public facilities connecting Minnesota to cities, people and markets around the globe,” says Dan Boivin, MAC chairman. “Live video streaming and on-demand video recordings of our board and committee meetings increase the transparency of MAC’s decision-making process and provide the public with easy access to information and deliberations about the future of the MAC’s seven airports.”
