The St. Joseph County (IN) Airport Authority this week named Patrick Mac Carthaigh its new vice president of operations, overseeing planning, organizing, staffing and the overall day-to-day operations and safety functions of the South Bend International Airport (SBN).
Mac Carthaigh, who begins his new position on July 11, most recently worked for the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) as operations manager, where he supervised perations and maintenance of the airfield, terminal, commercial business and fleet.
“I am incredibly excited to join the South Bend team,” said Mac Carthaigh in a press release announcing his appointment. “They have such a talented and engaging team of professionals that I am looking forward to working with and learning from.”
Mac Carthaigh was placed following a search lead by Jacksonville, FL-based ADK Consulting and Executive Search.
